Wildlife West Nature Park did not get our YCC grant this year, therefore we have many great volunteer opportunities. Meet interesting people from all over the world, give tours for school field trips, help at our many amazing festivals and serve, eat, and have fun at our Chuckwagon Dinner Shows.
Be part of a growing organization dedicated to native rescued wildlife, community and private events, as well as working with our dedicated volunteer staff. Any home school students and younger volunteers are welcome as well as seniors and all ages in between are welcome. No experience necessary!!
Please call Roger at 263-9453 for an appointment.
Welcome to Wildlife West Nature Park Open: Mid-March - End of October 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. | November - Mid-March Noon - 4 p.m.
West Nature Park, a wildlife preserve and "enhanced zoo," is
located just 20 minutes from Albuquerque, New Mexico in nearby Edgewood.
Conveniently located near Interstate 40 and Route 66. Wildlife West Nature Park provides
a very special look into the animals and plants that are part of the
ecosystems of New Mexico and the Southwestern United States. All the
birds and animals at Wildlife West Nature Park are non-releasable, keeping with our philosophy of bringing education to the public without
harming ecological balances in other parts of the region. Our habitats
are designed to provide the best possible combination of viewing opportunities
and harmonious living for our residents.
Wildlife West Nature Park provides a broad range of educational opportunities
that reach far beyond traditional zoos. We host numerous local events and
festivals, presents concert series, and includes a catering operation
with one of the area's best covered amphitheater
facilities and a second, fully-enclosed entertainment venue. We invite you to browse our site and learn more about
Wildlife West Nature Park - and, of course, to visit us at any time of
