Volunteer! Our volunteers and New Mexico Youth Conservation Corps members have made Wildlife West Nature Park what it is today. Each year, these profoundly generous people donate thousands of hours of their time and skills to help with construction, maintenance, operations, animal enrichment, sustainability, and educational programs. Our gratitude to all our current and past volunteers knows no bounds. Volunteering at Wildlife West is a rewarding and valuable experience. If you are interested in volunteering with us in any area, we'd love to work with you! Come and join us and help to build, maintain, and educate.
Wildlife West Nature Park offers regular training sessions for docents and animal keepers. Call (505) 281-7655 for details of our next training sessions. At Wildlife West Nature Park, you can also work alongside the members of the New Mexico Youth Conservation Corps. Wildlife West has been a participant in the NM Youth Conservation Corps for several years. The program at Wildlife West receives a grant from the NMYCC to employ a number of young people, age 14 to 24 years, at the park. These young people participate in all aspects of the park operation from giving guided tours to building facilities for visitors and animals. The New Mexico Wildlife Association and Wildlife West Nature Park thank the New Mexico Youth Conservation Corps for their contribution to the youth of New Mexico.
